Pay attention to safety when reopening country’s borders, say business groups

Yusrezan says with the border fully reopened, businesses that have been suffering will have a chance to recover.

BUSINESS associations in Johor are urging the government to take into account the impact of a proposal by the National Recovery Council to fully reopen the country’s borders.

Johor Food Truck Association president Yusrezan Samsuri said although businesses in the city centre were looking forward to the border reopening as it could help boost the local economy, the people’s safety must also be prioritised.
