Penang is set to have the first facility in the country to adopt a fully-powered solar panel roof after getting approval for an allocation of RM1.2mil from Housing and Local Government Ministry.

The spiral bridge for bicycles and pedestrians near Queensbay Mall in Bayan Lepas will be equipped with solar panels on its roof, which can generate about 400kilowatts.
