‘Fix dysfunctional pond’

Futile attempt: Residents had placed sandbags to patch the holes in the side wall but water still leaked through to the other retention pond. — ART CHEN/The Star

A RETENTION pond connected to two other similar ponds in Ara Impian Recreational Park in Ara Damansara, Petaling Jaya, has dried up after a side wall near a weir collapsed.

Residents there said water from the middle pond started seeping into the third pond through the broken wall, resulting in the pond drying up.
