THE March 7 flash flood that hit the Jalan Awan Besar stretch of Shah Alam Expressway (Kesas) has stakeholders calling for the authorities to work together and find a solution to the problem once and for all.

Former Drainage and Irrigation Department (DID) engineer Balachandran Naicker said Sungai Kuyoh had three ponds with the potential to function as flood retention ponds.
