State reps debate on illegal logging contributing to Bentong floods


SEVERAL days of continuous rainfall contributed to severe flooding in some areas in Bentong late last year, a Pahang state exco member said.

State tourism, culture, environment, plantations and commodities committee chairman Datuk Seri Mohd Sharkar Shamsudin said the situation was compounded when a year’s amount of rainfall was experienced in three days.
