THE melodious sounds from the sitar’s strings wafted through the air, mesmerising the audience who turned up at the Sound of Harmony music festival at Penang Harmony Centre.
The stirring music ably performed by sitarist Kumar Karthigesu who was accompanied by Vick Ramakrishnan on the tabla, showed how a soulful instrument like the sitar and the ever vibrant, solid percussions from the tabla could co-exist harmoniously in one performance.
