THE mounting rubbish problem due to disruption in collection services in several areas in Ipoh last month is preventable if adequate measures had been in place.

Not only were residents inconvenienced, they were irked as well when rubbish contractors failed to show up during the Hari Raya Aidilfitri holiday stretch.
