IN NOVEMBER last year, Chandran Ratnam, 73, and Hiew Jia Hua, 40, were rescued from the streets of Kuala Lumpur and placed at Anjung Kelana, a transit centre for the homeless.

Both men were provided skills training at the centre located in Taman Danau Desa and have now gained employment.
