Senior citizens need more social activities, says Petaling Jaya MP

IT IS vital to instil a sense of volunteerism among senior citizens in local communities to ensure they stay active and mentally healthy, says Petaling Jaya MP Maria Chin Abdullah.

She said that in the last two-and-a-half years during the Covid-19 pandemic, many elderly people were cooped up at home and lost touch with their community and social circle.
