THE proposal to turn Pasir Gudang into a new district is timely as the population in the area has surpassed 500,000 people, says Pasir Gudang City Council (MBPG) councillor Noor Azleen Ambros.

He said the upgrade, management and development could be more focused and streamlined. It is currently under the Johor Baru district.
