Fireworks and sand art at Deepavali do this weekend

PROPERTY developer Matrix Concepts Holdings will hold a Deepavali do which will among others feature Bollywood dances, henna and rangoli sand art and a fireworks display at its Bayu Sutera Galleria in Bandar Sri Sendayan, near Seremban.

The event, themed "Matrix Dazzling Deepavali 2022" festival will be held this weekend (Oct 29 and 30) and will also have game booths as well as a fire-eater performance.

Matrix Concepts chief marketing officer Lim Kok Yee said this was the company's first-ever such event organised to celebrate the Festival of Lights among the various communities and visitors to Bandar Sri Sendayan.

"The Bayu Sutera Galleria will be decked and lighted with decorations every night from 6pm to 10pm daily up to Oct 30.

"It is our hope that the Festival of Lights will continue to inspire the flame of unity in all Malaysians to stand stronger as one, especially during this time of uncertainty and transition," he said.

Lim said the other activities that would be held are a Tik Tok Kids Dance Challenge, an Indian Peacock dance performance as well as Lotus Diya Lamp and Paper Flower Hand Ring making workshops.

Apart from game booths, the other events that would be held are the "Reflection Challenge", Giant Pong & Flip the Cup mini challenge and Deepavali traditional games.

For food and beverage, there will be food trucks, murukku stalls and an Indian dessert bar.

Lim said those who wished to take part in the workshops need to make reservations due to the limited slots.

They can do so at www.matrixdazzlingdeepavali.com.my and slots will be given out on a first come first serve basis.
