AFTER a three-year break because of the Covid-19 pandemic, CIMB is organising its Music Run once again this Saturday at Technology Park Malaysia in Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur.

For those not in the know, The Music Run is regarded as Malaysia’s largest eco-friendly and carbon-neutral event.

Once touted as “Asia’s Fittest Party”, some consider this event as one of the most entertaining running events in Asia.

This year, the run will see a 5km Fun Run and a 5km Timed Run.

The timed run is for those who wish to compete for the trophy while the fun run caters to those who would rather walk, jog or dance to the music as they head for the finish line.

A party awaits at the end of the run and will feature local performances as well as sustainable activities such as recycling and food waste management programmes.

What makes this run unique is its route is lined with music speakers to give participants a different running experience.

It encourages participants to adopt healthy mental and physical habits by combining two popular activities – listening to music and running.

Since The Music Run is a carbon-neutral event, participants are encouraged to carpool or use public transport to the venue.

The event is scheduled to take place from 3pm to 9.30pm.
