THE most wonderful time of the year is fast approaching and it’s time to get into the Yuletide spirit.
Winter wonderlands have popped up at malls all over the Klang Valley, complete with Santa, adorable animals, Christmas trees and other decorations.
StarMetro wanders to the malls to take in all the festive finery.
It is an enchanted Christmas at Sunway Malls this year, with 12m-high trees, giant flowers, butterflies, dragonflies and magical fairies taking centre stage.
Each mall has a unique lead mushroom character that greets visitors – Mushy Clause and Snowie at Sunway Pyramid and Sunway Giza Mall, respectively, in Petaling Jaya, as well as Fairy Belle and Antleroom at Sunway Velocity Mall and Sunway Putra Mall, in Kuala Lumpur.
Not to be missed is the Sensory Hideout in Sunway Pyramid, which immerses visitors in the sights, sounds and smells of an enchanted forest.

Meanwhile, visitors will be charmed by the 24 unique Bearbrick figurines standing at 70cm tall which are showcased in a rotating Christmas tree at Intermark Mall, Kuala Lumpur.
Equally charming are the zodiac rabbits that are part of the Christmas decor at MyTown Shopping Centre in Kuala Lumpur as Chinese New Year is also around the corner.
A few spots have been set up for shoppers to take lovely photos.

To make things more exciting for children, there is the Choo-Choo Train that travels around the mall manned by a friendly train conductor.
Visitors can also become book Santas by donating new or preloved books at 1 Utama to be circulated to libraries and learning centres to share the joy of reading.
Speaking of Santa, he has set up his workshop at Suria KLCC in Kuala Lumpur.
This legendary Santa’s Workshop is where Santa Claus and his elves prepare presents to be distributed.
A whimsical clock tower bursts into life every hour, featuring elves and nutcrackers moving to festive music.
At Santa’s Workshop Alive!, children can colour, scan and watch their favourite Christmas characters come to life on screen.
Hoping for a surprise gift from Santa? Then enter your name on an interactive screen to see if you are on Santa’s naughty or nice list.
Only the first 100 customers each day will receive a gift.

As always, the highlight of Suria KLCC’s celebration is its iconic Christmas tree, standing at an amazing 30m tall. Brightly lit and adorned with baubles, it welcomes shoppers in style.
Over at Kuala Lumpur’s Mid Valley Megamall, which is featuring a “Christmas Gathering” theme, join in the fun with five friends – Button, Brownie, Twinkle, Jingle and Holly – in a forest village setting.
This forest is full of surprises. Keep an eye out for balloon giveaways and walkabouts and keep your ears peeled for the familiar “Ho, Ho, Ho” around the mall.
That’s not all as live performances of Christmas carols will be happening throughout the season.
Bring the family for a special storytelling time of the adventures of Button, Brownie, Twinkle, Jingle and Holly this Christmas. If you want a lovely memento, there are story cards to take home.

Choose a child’s wish you would like to fulfil, look for the item in 1 Mont Kiara and deliver it to the concierge’s desk. The mall’s team will wrap the gifts and on Christmas Eve, hand over the presents to the children at the mall.
Visitors to KL East Mall, Kuala Lumpur, will be kept busy this holiday season.
Under the theme “Christmas on Reels”, the mall invites visitors to “sleigh” their social media content by creating reels featuring its picturesque festive setup in four themes – the snowy sky-blue North Pole, the London backdrop, the sweet pink and lilac Candy-land as well as Santa’s factory.
Aside from the displays, the mall is also taking visitors on a musical journey with performances by Malaysia-based Scottish pipe band Kuala Lumpur Pipes & Drums, and jazz ensemble Urban Tribes as well as SAB A Cappella and voice choir Dames of Harmonia.
