Pink guava and mulberry add tropical twist to fizzy kombucha

Two new kombucha flavours ‒ pink guava and mulberry ‒ are now in the market.

LOCAL lifestyle beverage brand Uniiq is continuing its mission to improve health and well-being.

The brand has introduced two new flavours of kombucha pink guava and mulberry in expanding its range of kombucha flavours to six.

The Pink Guava Kombucha is set to tickle taste buds with a tropical twist mingled with fizzy goodness of kombucha.

The Mulberry Kombucha promises a tart berry taste combined with an earthy fermented black tea.

“At Uniiq, we are committed to bringing the best of our prebiotics in every bottle of our kombucha. Now with our new flavours, customers have even more options when choosing a healthy kombucha drink,” said Uniiq founder Soon Teoh.

Uniiq has also collaborated with UCSI University Nutrition and Wellness Programme head Dr Vaidehi Ulaganathan to raise awareness and educate people about kombucha and its benefits.

Dr Vaidehi, who emphasised on the importance of probiotics and prebiotics, said consuming a probiotics-rich supplement like kombucha helps gut health.

Kombucha is also viewed as an ideal supplement as a preventative measure by helping the body function better.

The drink is also high in antioxidants.

Uniiq and Dr Vaidehi hope to convey the message that it is important to aim for a healthy gut.

They believe that the gastrointestinal tract health often sets the tone for the rest of the body.

All of the kombucha options by Uniiq are halal and MeSTI-certified in a food safety compliant production centre with the highest standard of quality control.

In an effort to increase public consumption of kombucha, Uniiq is running a “Buy Two, Get One Free” campaign until Jan 31, 2023, at selected Jaya Grocer, Village Grocer, Big, The Food Merchant and Aeon supermarkets, while stocks last.
