THIS Christmas, shoppers in Kuala Lumpur can experience a heartwarming Disney-themed celebration without having to go all the way to Disneyland.

In conjunction with The Walt Disney Company’s 100th anniversary, Pavilion REIT Malls is bringing all the magic and joy of a “Season of Wonder” to Pavilion malls.

Kuala Lumpur Pavilion Sdn Bhd chief executive officer Datuk Joyce Yap said Pavilion Bukit Jalil had prepared plenty of festive excitement for customers.

Pavilion Kuala Lumpur’s Centre Court has been transformed into an enchanting village until Dec 26.

In addition, shopDisney.asia, The Walt Disney Company’s Southeast Asia’s flagship ecommerce destination, will curate a special pop-up for the first time.

Besides showcasing Disney collectibles and merchandise, the pop-up will also feature 12 limited-edition doll designs such as Jasmine, Snow White and Tiana.

As an additional surprise, children might get a chance to meet some very special Disney friends including Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck.

Shoppers can hop onboard a life-size train installation for a wondrous experience featuring Disney, Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars films and animation.

The train travels through the ages in each carriage from Mickey Mouse’s first appearance in Steamboat Willie released in 1928 to Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, which was Disney’s first feature-length animated film.

At Pavilion Kuala Lumpur’s main entrance, shoppers can admire the Chanel No.5 holiday campaign, a magnificent installation featuring gorgeous designs and interactive elements.

Santa Claus will also be dropping in to hear children’s wishes.

Meanwhile, Pavilion Bukit Jalil has launched a Disney-themed celebration entitled “From Our Family To Yours”.

Check out the seasonal decorations, food, shopping ideas and specially curated end-of-year activities.

Until Dec 26, visitors can explore special Disney-themed displays inspired by the enchanting worlds of Disney, Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars at the mall’s Centre Court.

Families can walk through a “forest” of beautifully decorated Christmas trees inhabited by familiar characters from the silver screen.

Feel free to snap a photo with replicas of Elsa and Anna from Frozen, Thor from Marvel’s The Avengers or BB-8 from Star Wars, before heading up the main aisle where statues of Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse take centre stage.

Floating right above the Centre Court are shimmering white lights and festive wreaths adorned with ornaments and banners showing some of Disney’s beloved characters.

Aside from that, Pavilion Bukit Jalil has come up with a unique Christmas tree for its Centre Court.

The tree is decorated with over 300 charming Disney plush toys from shopDisney.asia.

They include classic characters like Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck and Daisy Duck as well as the latest Mickey and Minnie Holiday Plush.

Embodying the spirit of “From Our Family To Yours”, shoppers can adopt a Disney plush toy for RM100; all proceeds will be donated to Make A Wish Malaysia.

Shoppers can pick up their adopted plush toy from Pavilion Bukit Jalil at the end of the campaign.
