The Malaysia Fashion, Modelling and Pageant Awards (MFMPA) 2022-Miss Malaysia Kebaya aims to lead the country towards being a fashion hub in South-East Asia.
To this end, the organiser will send officers to other countries in the region to validate fashion enthusiasts and offer collaborations.
Event founder-president Jason Hee said his intention was to connect industry players in the region so that they may prosper far beyond expectations.
“Fashion has the power to unite people of various backgrounds and it allows people to explore unique cultures from across the world.
“As Malaysians, we are made of a multitude of races and religions, yet we all live harmoniously with deep appreciation and respect, hence there is none better to host the event in South-East Asia than us,” said Hee.
As host for the upcoming MFMPA 2022, he said Malaysia’s fashion experts would have the chance to present their range of traditional clothing to the world.
MFMPA 2022 will take place on Jan 16 at Parkroyal Collection in Kuala Lumpur.
It aims to promote harmony among neighbouring countries while demonstrating to the rest of the world how a multiethnic nation can thrive in its diversity.
Local industry players are verified by a panel of 11 prominent judges consisting of some of the biggest names in the industry who will assess the awardees based on innovation, integrity, objectivity, impartiality, and transparency.
