Selangor govt offering free Covid-19 vaccine doses at Selcare clinics

SELANGOR residents who would like to get free Sinovac vaccine doses and booster jabs can do so at the Selcare network of clinics starting Saturday (Jan 7).

“This is a continuation of the Selangor government’s Covid-19 vaccination programme (Selvax) to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 epidemic,” said Dr Siti Mariah Mahmud.

The Selangor public health, unity, women empowerment and family committee chairman said this in a statement on Friday (Jan 6), adding that the second dose is available for adults and children aged five and above.

"Booster jabs are available for adults aged 18 and above who received their last Covid-19 vaccine six months ago," she added.

Dr Siti Mariah then said that Selangor residents who want to get the vaccine doses can visit any of the 15 Selcare clinics or THE KL Clinics in Selangor and Kuala Lumpur to get them starting today.

While registration is available via walk-ins, Dr Siti Mariah said the public is encouraged to make an appointment by calling the Selcare hotline at 1-800-22-6600.

The clinics are open from 9am to 9pm. For details, visit selcare.com
