THE fifth outlet of premium grocer The Food Merchant (TFM) has opened at Kuala Lumpur’s transformational boutique retail boulevard RainTreeRain at The ERA.

This development in Duta North, Segambut, provides an urban forest lifestyle destination for new age living with a sanctuary of aged rain forest trees and wetlands which fully complements the eclectic DNA of TFM.

Situated at the strategic location with easy access from the high-end condos of Mont Kiara and Sri Hartamas to the upcoming higher middle class areas of Taman Sri Segambut and Bandar Manjalara, TFM provides a wide range of high-end groceries to its customers at this diverse neighbourhood.

“A good dining experience always has the power to bring people together. TFM has worked hard towards our establishment’s food quality and varieties,” says TFM managing director Ivan Tan.

“Our goal is to ensure our customers not only have access to the best delicacies from across the globe, but also they can do it in great comfort.”

With backing from the same family members that created the successful Village Grocer brand with over 25 years of industry experience, TFM aims to provide a premium shopping experience to its customers.

TFM offers well-known local products, internationally renowned quality meats, air-flown fresh vegetables and fruits, seafood, fine groceries from around the world and a connoisseur’s range of affordable premium wines. Its team has continuously worked to curate over 250 international brands – specialising in fine groceries and exotic delicacies.

TFM was listed in the Malaysia Book of Records last year as the first supermarket in the country to have a trolley valet service, whereby a dedicated trolley team is on standby to help customers push and load their groceries into their vehicles.

With complementary TFM’s trolley check-in services, customers can leave their cart under the care of the merchant care team, while they continue with other activities like dining or shopping.

“We at TFM have worked continuously to ensure our customers’ expectations are met and our shoppers can shop free and easy,” says TFM chief operating officer Leong Pei Khim.

With the Chinese New Year just around the corner, TFM will have a series of promotions to celebrate the festive season, including complimentary delivery to customers’ doorstep, free premium ang pow packets, cash vouchers and redemption of surprise items.TFM at RainTreeRain is open daily (8am-10pm).
