Jom Cha offers a selection of flavours that include fresh milk-based soft serve with a total of 19 variations of drinks under six categories, most of which are created with Farm Fresh milk and yogurt.

FARM Fresh Bhd, one of Malaysia’s top dairy milk beverage groups, is expanding into the food and beverage (F&B) industry with its Jom Cha brand.

The Farm Fresh dairy brand has introduced Jom Cha by Farm Fresh with boba (special seaweed-based pearl) at its outlet in IOI City Mall, Putrajaya.

Jom Cha uses two types of boba in their drinks, one of which is nutritious seaweed-based boba.

Customers can adjust their sugar and ice levels, which is ideal for individuals who want to regulate the amount of sugar in their drinks.

“With Malaysia’s ever-growing fresh milk market, Farm Fresh recognised an opportunity to diversify into this F&B category with Jom Cha by Farm Fresh,” says Farm Fresh Bhd group managing director and group chief executive officer Loi Tuan Ee.

Target 300 stores

Jom Cha made its market debut in August 2022, with its first location in 1 Utama Shopping Centre in Petaling Jaya.

As of present, Jom Cha has 22 stores around Malaysia. The majority of the outlets are located in renowned shopping malls such as IOI City Mall and Genting Highlands Premium Outlets, the latter of which has the biggest Jom Cha presence.

Some of its other outlets are located at Eco Hill Semenyih, Sunway Lagoon, Farm Fresh @ UPM, AEON BiG Wangsa Maju and Petronas Puncak Alam (Klang Valley), and AEON Mall Tebrau City, Bandar Baru Uda, Mydin Nusajaya and AEON Mall Kulai (Johor).

Farm Fresh wants to open up to 300 Jom Cha stores across the country over the next three years through its wholly-owned beverage entity Farm Fresh Jomcha Sdn Bhd.

Loi says the company’s initial objective was to expand into the F&B sector while remaining focused on its principal operation – producing quality fresh milk.

“The genesis of Jom Cha began because we wanted to create extra revenue for our home dealers as well as Farm Fresh as a company.

“We are confident in the quality of our milk! We identified an opening and want to up our game by combining our dairy-based goods with boba,” Loi says.

“We are new to the market, yet the name Farm Fresh appeals to a wide range of consumers,” says Lim.

“Jom Cha’s utilisation of Farm Fresh’s strong brand equity will provide us with an advantage because it is an in-house brand.

“We at Jom Cha truly believe in the Farm to Cup idea that we provide, and the consistent increase in total sales since our inception demonstrates the growing love our customers have for our brand.”

He adds that the Jom Cha brand is rapidly growing and is confident that the new Jom Cha by Farm Fresh will be popular with customers of all ages.

Fantastic flavours

Jom Cha has a fantastic selection of different flavours starting at RM5.80.

The company has expanded its menu to include fresh milk-based soft serve with a total of 19 variations of drinks under six categories, most of which are created with Farm Fresh milk and yogurt.

Some of the best-selling flavours under the Jom Cha brand are Farm Fresh Milk with Brown Sugar Boba, Belgian Milk Chocolate, and Strawberry Kurma Yogurt.

Their new Natural Yogurt Mixberries Soft Serve, prepared from Farm Fresh yogurt rich in probiotics, is the latest addition to their menu.

Fresh Milk Soft Serve is also a popular choice among customers.

“The dairy products utilised in our drinks and soft serve are of high quality, and we carefully choose the ingredients that go into our drinks,” says Lim.
