THE implementation of temporary contraflow in Petaling Jaya starting March 1 for three months will affect several roads.
The trial run will take place from 5pm to 7.30pm from Mondays to Fridays except for Saturday, Sunday, public holidays or whenever it rains.
The affected roads are Jalan Othman-Jalan Templer, the Jalan Gasing-Jalan Templer junction, Jalan Templer-Jalan 6/29 junction and all road median openings along Jalan Templer.
A Petaling Jaya City Council statement said that motorists from Jalan Gasing headed towards Jalan Othman must go through Jalan Changgai 6/22 or through Jalan Anak Gasing 6/5 onto Jalan Tinggi 6/12 then Jalan Selangor.
Motorists from Jalan Othman headed to the New Pantai Expressway (NPE) need to make a U-turn at the Assunta Hospital roundabout.
Road users from Section 52 and Federal Highway can use this route for smoother traffic flow.
Road users are advised to follow traffic signs at all times.
