Outstanding employees of Subang Jaya City Council (MBSJ) were honoured for their service at MBSJ’s Excellent Service Awards (APC) 2022 in Shah Alam.
Selangor deputy secretary (development) Datuk Johary Anuar, accompanied by Subang Jaya deputy mayor Mohd Zulkurnain Che Ali, presented the awards.
“The ceremony is a form of recognition for MBSJ staff for their dedication in carrying out their responsibilities as civil servants,” MBSJ Corporate and Strategic Management Department deputy director Azfarizal Abdul Rashid said in a statement.
“This dedication was shown either while performing official duties or getting actively involved in sports, social and community activities,” he added.
APC 2022 saw 117 employees given recognition for their work. Each of them received a premium savings certificate worth RM1,000 and a certificate of appreciation.
A total of 19 employees due to retire this year were also feted at the same event. Each received RM700 from MBSJ and RM500 from MBSJ’s Sports and Welfare Club.
“MBSJ also gave special recognition through the Mayor’s Special Award, Innovation Special Award and Sports Special Award, in appreciation of individuals who have brought glory to the city council at state, national and international levels,” said the city council’s media statement.
“It is hoped that the awards will inspire MBSJ employees to continue serving with excellence, dedication and commitment as well as encourage them to improve MBSJ’s service quality to make us a leading local authority in Selangor,” it added.
MBSJ Town Planning Department director Ismail Muhamad, who will be retiring at the end of this year, received the Mayor’s Special Award.
