FT foundation appoints Abdul Rahman Siraj as executive director


PRIME Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, who is also the Yayasan Wilayah Persekutuan (YWP) chairman, has appointed Abdul Rahman Siraj as YWP executive director effective from March 1, 2023 for a period of three years.

YWP, in a statement, stated that Abdul Rahman has extensive experience in corporate and commercial-related fields as he has held key positions in management, corporate governance, audit, and risk management.

"He holds an accounting degree from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia and professional qualifications from the Malaysia Institute of Accountants as well as full membership in the Institute of International Auditors (IIA).

Previously, he served as a senior general manager at the National Heart Institute, executive director at Multimedia Synergy Corporation Sdn Bhd, chief executive officer at Taliworks Corporation Berhad as well as Investment general manager (pengurus besar pelaburan) at Khazanah Nasional Berhad.

He is also a board member of Hospital Pusrawi Sdn Bhd.

"YWP believes that his credibility and excellent service record in the corporate sector will enhance YWP's ability to provide the best services to the residents of Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, and Labuan Federal Territories, especially for the vulnerable and B40 group.
