Mural unveiled to promote awareness of eye health

The mural at Optimax’s OUG branch in Kuala Lumpur was painted by Volchkova.

AN EYE specialist service provider has unveiled its “Loving Family” mural at its clinic in Overseas Union Garden (OUG), Kuala Lumpur.

Optimax Holdings Bhd chief executive officer Sandy Tan said, “We see this mural as not just a regular painting on the wall but one that signifies and reiterates our belief that eyecare should be for everyone regardless of age or ethnicity.

The mural commissioned by Optimax was painted by world-renowned street artist Julia Volchkova, who is famous for works such as the “Child Mural” at Prangin Canal, “Indian Boatman” at Stewart Lane and “Old Fisherman” at Balik Pulau, in Penang.

“Optimax will continue to seek new and different avenues to stress eyecare importance to the public by increasing the number of ambulatory care centres and establishing more satellite clinics across the country,” said Tan.
