New shopping mall to open next month in Klang

KSL Esplanade Mall will hold its soft opening soon.

AN UPCOMING mall in Bandar Bestari is set to offer shoppers from Klang, Shah Alam, Jenjarom and their vicinity plenty to see and do.

KSL Esplanade Mall, which is run by KSL City Management Sdn Bhd (a wholly subsidiary of KSL Holdings Bhd), will hold its soft opening on May 31.

Spanning 650,000 sq ft, the mall has four floors of retail space, a landscaped park, an event space of up to 10,000 sq ft, an outdoor dining terrace and a special section with play area for children.

“Our mall is envisioned as a third space, which is best described as a setting where a person can have a transforming sense of self, identity and relationship with others,” said KSL Esplanade Mall project director Patrick Khoo.

“Third space” refers to the place one frequents other than home and the workplace.

Numerous events, both indoors and outdoors, including competitions, tournaments, light and music display, festivals as well as art and cultural events will be held in support of community living.

KSL Esplanade Mall has several key anchor tenants.

These tenants include Star Grocer, Energ X Park, Xctive Kidz, XRoller, Good2U Concept Store, Al-Ikhsan Sports, Skechers, Starbucks, ZUS Coffee, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, The Chicken Rice Shop, Nihon Shoku, Uncle Don’s, Loon Sing Restaurant, Putien, Kita, Pets Wonderland, Houzone, One Living, MR DIY, Toy World, Toyworld Amusement Park, TGV Cinema and Happy Fish Swimming School.

The mall now has about 75% tenant occupancy.

Southern Klang has excellent connectivity to major highways such as the Shah Alam Expressway (Kesas), South Klang Valley Expressway (SKVE) and New Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE).

Visitors to KSL Esplanade Mall can look forward to improved connectivity with the upcoming Light Rail Transit 3 (LRT3).

The LRT3 will provide easy interchange with existing rail systems, such as MRT Bandar Utama, Kelana Jaya Line, BRT Federal Line and KTM Komuter Port Klang, offering a seamless travel experience.

Visitors will be transported along this LRT3 alignment from Bandar Utama to Johan Setia station, where they will then need to take a five-minute drive to reach KSL Esplanade Mall.

The mall will offer complimentary shuttle services as an added convenience.

“In order to highlight the accessibility, my team has focused heavily on enhancing and strengthening the local infrastructure to ensure a comfortable commute to and from the shopping centre,” said Khoo.

“This involves a project to enlarge the road, installation of additional lamp posts, building a new pedestrian link bridge and a bus station for public convenience.

“We are committed to the sustainable growth of the area, particularly for those who call it home.

“Our aim is to have a significant impact on the community by providing upgraded facilities and job opportunities.

“By prioritising the needs of the community, KSL Esplanade Mall aims to become a destination that not only provides a great shopping experience but also contributes to the development of the area,” he added.

KSL Bandar Bestari consists of semi-detached houses, serviced apartments, shopping complex, commercial property and a four-star hotel that caters to the middle-to-high income community.
