NINE welfare homes and orphanages across the Klang Valley received Hari Raya treats from Tropicana Foundation and Capri by Fraser, Bukit Bintang.
They were given 300 packets of bubur lambuk as well as essentials like towels and toothbrushes.
Tropicana group executive director Jared Ang said,“Raya is a time for appreciation, renewal and reunion, so we are pleased to give back to the community through this charitable endeavour.
“The bubur lambuk was prepared and packed by Capri by Fraser, Bukit Bintang, along with duit raya and sundries to support the homes in their daily needs.”
Ang said this initiative was in line with Tropicana Foundation’s mantra of “Redefining the Art of Caring”.
Distributed ahead of the Raya holidays, the giveaway saw Tropicana and Capri by Fraser representatives delivering the bubur lambuk to each home.
This was followed by a group photo session and presentation of goodie bags to the children and caretakers, who were all smiles.
Capri by Fraser, Bukit Bintang general manager Michael Lee said they were happy to work with Tropicana to reach out to the underprivileged society during this festive period.
“This initiative is aligned with our #EnrichingLives focus, and we look forward to similar opportunities in the future.”
Founded in 2011, Tropicana Foundation engages and uplifts underprivileged segments of society as part of its sustainable approach to environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) principles.
Since inception, it has channelled more than RM26mil to charitable causes nationwide.
