THE inaugural Wellness Carnival will be held this weekend at KL Wellness City Gallery.
The two-day carnival will kick off tomorrow at the wellness gallery in Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur and open from 11am to 5pm.
It is supported by Stairlift World Malaysia, Kodo Mobility Solution, KL Wellness City and other partners.Stairlift World Malaysia Sdn Bhd managing director Richard Arnold said Stairlift World Malaysia had been aiding individuals with mobility challenges for two decades.
He hopes the carnival will be an enjoyable and educational experience for visitors.
“The Wellness Carnival is a special project that aims to educate the public and promote awareness about the various health solutions that are available,” he said.
KL Wellness City executive director Datuk Seri Dr Vincent Tiew said the carnival would feature a variety of activities and services including free health screenings and consultations, health and wellness talks, muscle relaxation and physio exercises, and eye screening.
The carnival will also feature 19 booths showcasing each partner’s services and equipment as well as gifts, lucky draw, and vouchers.
“We aim to provide the community with an opportunity to learn more about the importance of health and wellness,” said Tiew.
He also said the Wellness Carnival would not only increase awareness about the importance of living a healthier and more sustainable lifestyle but also align with the company’s vision for KL Wellness City.
Tiew added that the positive response received from last year’s Kuala Lumpur Wellness Festival and Kuala Lumpur Fitness Fiesta had been motivating, and they aimed to expand their efforts to inspire the public to participate in health and wellness activities.
He said last year’s Wellness Festival mainly emphasised physical exercise and was solely organised by KL Wellness City.
This year’s event is the first-ever Wellness Carnival with more than 18 partners participating and focused more on creating awareness.
“I invite the public to visit the different booths at the Wellness Carnival, as it is open to all age groups and admission is free,” he said.
Tiew said they expected a turnout of over 500 attendees for the two-day event.
