Professional builders and tradesmen from contractors to engineers, servicemen, handymen and industrial users, besides do-it-yourself (DIY) enthusiasts will be pleased to hear that international hardware brand Emtop is now available in Malaysia.

MR D.I.Y has opened its first Emtop store in Bandar Puteri, Puchong, Selangor.

Emtop, present in 80 countries across the world, produces a broad range of hardware products known for quality and resilience.

The range offers more than 1,000 products including power tools, power tool accessories and power source tools.

Emtop tools use a standard battery across its over 100 tools, making it convenient and efficient for users.

Speaking at the opening of the new store, MR D.I.Y. Group chief executive officer Adrian Ong said: “The lockdowns during the (Covid-19) pandemic, the rising cost of raw materials and the higher cost of services have all inspired a DIY culture among Malaysians, which in turn has increased the demand for hardware, tools and gadgets.

“Responding to this demand, we decided to become the master franchisee of the Emtop brand in Malaysia.”

Another Emtop store is set to open in Jalan Nanas Kawasan 18, Klang, Selangor.

Emtop joins the MR D.I.Y. Group line-up of brands, which include MR D.I.Y. launched in 2005, MR TOY in 2019, MR Dollar in 2020, MR D.I.Y. Express in 2021 and MR D.I.Y. PLUS in 2022.

With the opening of Emtop, the MR D.I.Y. group now has a total of more than 1,100 stores nationwide.

The retailer has organised a line-up of activities in conjunction with the opening of the first Emtop store, including discounts of up to 30% on power tools (angle grinders, impact drivers, cordless drills, impact drills and cordless screwdrivers), as well as gift-with-purchase promotions when customers buy Emtop products.
