A LEADING cake company and music label in Malaysia have teamed up to offer fans one-of-a-kind campaigns.

Secret Recipe and Universal Music Malaysia announced their partnership at a press conference in Kuala Lumpur.

Food and music lovers were then treated to a performance featuring Malaysian artistes from the music company, such as Athalia, Bella Astillah, Meer Nash and Yonnyboii.

Secret Recipe managing director Patrick Sim said that being able to share the stage with Universal Music Malaysia had been a refreshing experience and hoped that the partnership would grow.

“As a local brand, we are honoured to cross-collaborate with an international name in the industry.

“We share the same ethos with Universal Music Malaysia and aspire to constantly keep things relevant and unique for all Malaysians,” he said.

Universal Music Malaysia managing director Kim Lim said teaming up with a renowned homegrown brand such as Secret Recipe had set the bar even higher for the music label.

“This only means more exciting and revolutionary campaigns and experiences ahead,” she said.

“All our talents are excited to be part of this collaboration as we explore multiple ways to showcase their talents, reach out to fans and grow even further and bigger,” she added.

The most recent collaboration was for Mothers Day, which featured a limited-edition gift card designed by Malaysian rapper and producer Yonnyboii and a playlist for customers who purchased whole cakes from Secret Recipe.
