Developer spreading cheer at old folks home in Johor Baru

REPRESENTATIVES of developer S P Setia’s charity arm S P Setia Foundation reached out to residents of Pusat Jagaan Warga Emas Nur Ehsan in Johor Baru.

The festive engagement included a gotong-royong programme to refurbish the old folks home.

S P Setia staff painted a mural as well as several walls besides carrying out landscaping work, cleaning and minor repairs.

Also paying a visit to the home were foundation chairperson Datuk Zuraidah Atan, S P Setia executive vice-president Datuk Yuslina Mohd Yunus, group branding and communications head Adelene Wong as well as executive vice-president Datuk Stanley Saw.

Zuraidah said, “We are glad to do our bit for Pusat Jagaan Warga Emas.

“We are also pleased to see the Team Setia corporate volunteers serving from the heart.”

The foundation presented gift baskets containing items such as towels and blankets to 42 residents of the home.

S P Setia-owned Amari Kuala Lumpur contributed branded toiletries.

To encourage the home’s residents to stay active, a workshop was conducted by Hospital Sultan Ismail rehabilitation and physiotherapy officer Ismail Mustaffa Sultan who was assisted by his colleague Emmy Frienny Robinson.
