SIME Darby Oils is collaborating with Koperasi GTR to supply exclusively packed Alif Marjerin for GTR Burger, a popular home-grown burger brand.

Alif Marjerin has been developed with a unique aroma and taste to enhance a wide range of foods, from Malaysian breakfast favourites such as roti canai to festive cookies.

Introduced to the market last year, Alif Marjerin will be used by GTR Burger stall entrepreneurs nationwide.

According to Sime Darby Oils professional business unit head Mohammad Rahimi Abdullah, the collaboration marks a significant milestone for Alif as it expands into the food and beverage (F&B) segment.

“With more than 300 GTR Burger entrepreneurs operating nationwide, we look forward to establishing our presence in the F&B segment,” he said.

With training and a support system to ensure continued business success, including consistent supply of quality ingredients, GTR Burger has established a good business programme for entrepreneurs who mainly comprise members of the B40 community.

“We are happy to play our part for the community and to explore more ways to support local businesses,” Mohammad Rahimi said during an event in Petaling Jaya to announce the collaboration.

Also present were GTR Burger founder Najib Jalil and Koperasi Kelab GTR Malaysia Bhd chairman Nordin Mat.

The product is currently available in a 1kg pack at selected retail outlets.
