Japanese restaurant reopens to offer more diverse options

JAPANESE fine-dining restaurant Miraku has reopened at G Hotel Gurney, Penang, following an extensive renovation.

Present at the grand reopening ceremony were Penang Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow, Sungai Pinang assemblyman Lim Siew Khim, Texchem executive chairman Tan Sri Fumihiko Konishi and G Hotel Malaysia general manager Michael Hanratty.

Since it was established in 2007, Miraku has been bringing the essence of Japanese cuisine to Malaysians.

The experienced chefs pride themselves on sourcing the freshest ingredients flown in from Japan and around the world.

All this is to ensure an exceptional experience for even the most discerning food connoisseurs.

Miraku is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Texchem Resources Bhd, under its restaurant division.

“We are thrilled to announce the reopening of Miraku,” said Konishi.

“Our team has worked tirelessly to create a refined and authentic Japanese dining experience that exceeds expectations.

“Miraku, which means ‘a great place for customers to enjoy great food’, remains true to its name.”

He said Miraku now offered an upgraded dining experience to captivate both loyal patrons and new customers.

“We wanted to create a modern elegant space.

“The renovated Miraku now features an authentic teppanyaki counter in addition to our sushi counter, both helmed by chefs from Japan.

“This brings an interactive and dynamic element to the experience.

“Guests can watch their meal being masterfully prepared in front of them,” added Konishi.The restaurant’s latest menu features an extensive selection of teppanyaki specialities alongside the selection of sushi, sashimi, tempura and omakase items.

This diverse range ensures that every guest can find something to suit individual preferences.

Miraku has three private rooms and one tatami room. These rooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis, without any minimum expenditure.
