Experiences and business ideas from successful women will be the focus of the inaugural “The Women in Leadership #001” conference series happening this month.

Organised by the Kuala Lumpur Chinese Assembly Hall (KLCAH) Women division, the event is slated for July 16 from 1pm to 6pm at the Mercedes-Benz showroom in Bukit Tinggi, Klang, Selangor.

KLCAH president Datuk Seri KK Chai said the event would feature experiences and business ideas of distinguished women entrepreneurs and thought leaders from various industries.

The event is spearheaded by KLCAH vice-president and Women division chairman Datuk Ada Poon Yin Hoong and organising committee chairman Angela Lim Yee Nee.

Poon hopes the event will empower women from all walks of life, including students, entry- and mid-level employees and accomplished business leaders.

It will feature four distinguished Malaysian women entrepreneurs who have proven their mettle in leadership roles.

They are Paradise Group Malaysia chief executive officer Elyna Tan, Innerzen Wellness Group founder Mindy Chua, Artivo School of Creativity chief executive officer Datin Ainsley Tiew Lee Sin as well as Poon, who is Amleisure Group managing director.

According to KLCAH, the speakers have redefined what it means to be an effective leader, breaking frontiers through their transformational, collaborative, participative and democratic leadership styles.

The speakers’ success in their respective industries also prove that female leadership styles are equally suited in today’s competitive business environment.

The objectives of the conference are to cultivate innovative thinking, develop leadership capabilities, enhance business skills and expand the social network of women in business.

Through the event, KLCAH Women division hopes to encourage and empower more women to step out of conventional societal roles to succeed in their workplaces, effectively engage in economy, business and politics, positively influence people around them and achieve greater gender equality.

Tickets are priced at RM60 for KLCAH members and RM80 for non-members.
