THE Art of Speed 2023, a premier event for automotive enthusiasts, returns this weekend at the Malaysia Agro Exposition Park Serdang (MAEPS) in Sepang, Selangor, promising a thrilling experience.

With the theme “Raikan Beza Mu”, the event aims to provide an enhanced experience for fans and visitors alike.

Art of Speed Malaysia (AOSM) founder Asep Ahmad Iskandar said this year’s event would be bigger and better to celebrate its 12th annual show.

“From the moment it first started, AOSM has positioned itself as a gathering that brings together not just car and motorcycle enthusiasts, but also artists, musicians, and collectors, resulting in a grand annual event.

“As we celebrate our 12th edition, we aim to ignite the spirit and passion of dedicated enthusiasts,” he said.

This year’s event will be even bigger, occupying a total area of 32,516sq m indoors and 3.48ha outdoors, encompassing all the MAEPS event halls.

Asep said AOSM would introduce new elements at this year’s event, including several exhibitions and shows featuring participants from Malaysia and around the world.

Notably, the first-ever official Hot Wheels Collector Convention in South-East Asia will be part of the event, offering activities such as diorama displays, the Hot Wheels Rare and Collectible Exhibition and Hot Wheels Swap Buy and Sell.

To commemorate 40 years of Hot Wheels in Malaysia, the toy brand is collaborating with Proton, Malaysia’s national automotive brand, to create the first-ever Hot Wheels-Proton Saga vehicle alongside releasing a limited-edition Hot Wheels official convention car.

Another addition to AOSM 2023 is the Outdoor ThunderCircus “Brotherhood Rally,” an open area dedicated to motorcycle owners and enthusiasts, including a large-scale ride-in and participation from motorcycle groups across Malaysia and the region.

Collaborations with VANS will feature a limited-edition shoe release and the setup of a mini skateboard and BMX park free to play at the venue.

AOSM has also partnered with Hikari Riders, IGL coating and Mooneyes to produce merchandise for the event.

Returning favourites from previous shows include the Off The Grid camping and outdoors exhibition as well as Hall Vintage, which showcases a wide range of vintage collectibles, all under this year’s theme “Music, Blast from the Past”.

The popular SoundCircus Festival, powered by Harley-Davidson and organised by Bro Asia, will make a comeback too.
