THE old part of Klang on the south side of town is known for its colonial buildings, the shopping haven of Little India and places of worship.

Even a stroll along the back lanes can spring a nice surprise as artists have painted colourful murals for visitors to capture.

The good food in the area is another attraction and Tourism Selangor has been promoting the town through weekend heritage walks.

Wander around and you will see Kota Raja fire station, Masjid India Muslim Tengku Kelana, Church of Our Lady of Lourdes, Klang Royal Club, Istana Alam Shah and many other interesting buildings that reveal facets of the royal town’s history.
