DSP Abdul Razak Musa is the new Sibu district CID chief.

He replaces ASP Mohd Fazirul Mohd Fisol.

Abdul Razak, who was previously the Kota Samarahan CID chief, has been with the police force in Sarawak for 26 years.

Speaking at the handing over of duty, Sibu OCPD Asst Comm Zulkifli Suhaili expressed high regard for Abdul Razak.

“This is nothing new to him. He has extensive experience in criminal investigation.

“The most important thing for us is to ensure that the CID office is able to perform its duties in the best possible way,” he said.

Zulkipli also urged all officers, irrespective of their department and division, to work together to ensure the town was safe for residents.

“Even though there is a reduction in crime cases, we must not let our guard down.

“The community puts their trust in us to take care of the town’s safety,” he said.

Zulkipli also expressed his appreciation to media practitioners for their efforts in delivering precise information to the public.

“I have collaborated extensively with the media, especially in cases involving scammers, to ensure that the increasing scam cases in our town can be communicated to the public effectively.

“This way, we can collectively combat scam-related matters through effective communication to the public with the help of the media,” he added.
