LEMBAH Jaya PKR candidate Syed Ahmad Syed Abdul Rahman Alhadad @ Altimet cast his vote at SMK Seri Keramat in Lembah Keramat, Ampang shortly after 8am on Saturday (Aug 12).

He praised the Election Commission for making the process smooth and organised.

“We need as many people to go and vote today.

“It is our (democratic) right and power to vote. We are not under any dictatorship and autocracy. We live in a democratic country.

“We have the power (to make a difference) and should not give that power to other voters.

“I know Selangorians are rational and educated people; everyone should go and vote,” he told reporters at the polling station.

The rapper and entrepreneur said he looked forward to his day off to take a rest.

“I’m honestly tired, but it is still my responsibility to carry out my duties in Lembah Jaya; after 6pm today I leave it to the higher power,” he said.

Altimet is facing PAS candidate Sharifah Haslizah Syed Ariffin, the party's Ampang information chief and a former MPAJ councillor.
