State polls: Pakatan takes Bukit Antarabangsa with a 16,280 majority


RETURNING officer Dr Ani Ahmad announced Pakatan Harapan's candidate Kamri Kamaruddin as the winner for Selangor's N19 Bukit Antarabangsa seat at Dewan Dato Ahmad Razali in Ampang.

Kamri retained the party's hold with 30,772 votes while Perikatan Nasional's Bersatu candidate Sasha Lyna garnered 14,492 votes, followed by Muda's Melanie Ting who attracted 1,462 votes.

Kamri won with a 16,280 majority.

Kamri, who arrived with his wife Suzana Shaharudin and members of his family, thanked voters for their support.

"After two weeks of campaigning, it is evident that Bukit Antabangsa is a Pakatan stronghold.

"The area's demographics comprises open-minded people who want stability, and they voted accordingly.

"As a state assemblyman, I will prioritise urgent issues in Bukit Antarabangsa as this area is environmentally-sensitive," he said.
