MISS CosmoWorld 2023 will offer the biggest cash prize in the pageant’s history – RM1.1mil, says founder Carrie Lee Sze Kei during the pageant’s launch.

Winnings in the sixth edition of the pageant include sponsored perks and benefits.

At the launch, guest of honour Tengku Datuk Hishammuddin Zaizi Tengku Azman Shah said: “Miss CosmoWorld has always been a great platform to promote to the global stage young Malaysian women who not only possess beauty but also skills that go beyond their looks.

“I can say that the contestants themselves will serve as a reflection of Malaysia’s beauty, diversity and potential.”

The finals of Miss CosmoWorld 2023, organised by CL Skin Sdn Bhd, is scheduled to be held in Kuala Lumpur during the final quarter of 2023.

Carrie said the Miss CosmoWorld organisation had worked hard to provide a platform to enhance the talents, skills and hard work of young women across Malaysia.

“Having achieved success in the beauty and pageantry scenes, it is now my duty to contribute to my fellow women in this country, identifying top women influencers and helping to encourage powerful and confident women to promote the best of Malaysia, while giving back to the community.

The top 12 candidates will compete in the finals of Miss CosmoWorld Malaysia 2023 scheduled for October.

The Miss CosmoWorld 2023 finals in November is expected to feature about 30 international candidates.

Miss CosmoWorld 2023 adviser Datuk Seri Chong Chin Fung said in a rapidly globalising world, tourism had become an integral part of the economy, creating job opportunities, generating revenue and promoting cross-cultural understanding.

“Miss CosmoWorld 2023 plays a pivotal role in this endeavour.

“As these remarkable women share their traditions, customs and stories, they become ambassadors of their countries, enticing visitors to explore the beauty and charm of their homelands,” he added.

Competition organising chairman and Miss CosmoWorld 2021 second runner-up Tiffany Lee said each year, Miss CosmoWorld advanced its offerings to not only bring prominence to the pageant, but more importantly to create a positive impact in society.

“This year, the winners will walk away with a whopping RM1.1mil to finance their business ideas, as an effort by Miss CosmoWorld to develop triumphant female entrepreneurs.

“On top of that, each delegate who takes part in Miss CosmoWorld 2023 will be equipped with the fundamentals to run her own business.”
