THREE-term Kuala Kubu Baharu assemblyman Lee Kee Hiong went around thanking voters after retaining the state constituency in the Selangor election on Aug 12.
She was seen talking to traders and residents at morning markets and commercial areas of Ulu Yam, Rasa and Kuala Kubu Baru.
The DAP candidate, under the Pakatan Harapan banner, was said to be undergoing a difficult period with her health but nevertheless, was able to campaign at the state elections.
The Kuala Kubu Baharu seat saw a four-cornered fight.
Lee won with a majority of 4,119 votes.
She polled 14,862 votes against Perikatan Nasional’s Henry Teoh (10,743 votes), Muda’s Dr Siva Prakash (1,186 votes) and Chng Boon Lai from Parti Rakyat Malaysia (527 votes). — By STUART MICHAEL
