Pop-up kopitiam to mark National Day

DORSETT Grand Subang’s pop-up Dorsett Kopitiam is a special feature to celebrate the 66th National Day and 60th Malaysia Day.

Considered a vital element of Malaysia’s culture, kopitiam (traditional coffeeshop) has been around since the late 1800s and is still a popular gathering place for people of all races.

The hotel is inviting guests to savour nostalgic vibes at this charming kopitiam with its mosaic-tiled floor.

Indulge in traditional favourites such as soft-boiled kampung eggs, toast with butter and kaya, nasi lemak bungkus, Portuguese egg tarts, popiah goreng, cucur udang and curry puffs.

Have fun watching chefs “pull” tea or coffee as they get your orders ready.

All items are priced at RM12.80nett per order inclusive of a beverage which is either Milo, teh tarik, kopi lokal or Nescafe tarik.

A-la-carte beverage order is RM6 nett.

Local biscuits are a nice touch in this space.

Remember the joy of nibbling iced gem biscuits with pastel icing swirls on top or dunking sugar-crusted roti kok into your cup of steaming hot kopi?

All these are available at Dorsett Kopitiam.

A small tin of 450g biscuits is priced at RM18nett or you can get a bag of 100g biscuits for RM6 nett.

The kopitiam, at the hotel lobby, is open from 10.30am to 5pm, Monday to Friday until Sept 16.
