Two-in-one after-dark find

ADSC’s interior is simple and casual.

AFTER Dark Social Club (ADSC) is a nightlife spot secretly nestled within Snitch by The Thieves in Kuala Lumpur.

Although The Gardens mall’s or Mid Valley Megamall’s nightlife scene may seem a little more subdued than other parts of the city, there are some secret finds like ADSC that offer patrons a unique experience.

From catching one’s favourite live sporting events to indulging in karaoke and fun games, ADSC is a fun place to relax in and enjoy the night.

Snitch by The Thieves conceptualised by the Breakfast Thieves team, meanwhile, offers a blend of local and Western cuisine with an Australian influence.

The restaurant boasts an open and inviting space for brunch, business meetings and family gatherings besides drawing coffee aficionados to get their daily fix.

The interior of Snitch is divided into three sections – an indoor area with a view of the open kitchen, an alfresco section with high ceilings for diners to relish in the joy of shared meals and ADSC.

Culinary director Brandon Chin presents an all-day dining menu fusing contemporary Western and local flavours.

Whether you are looking to unwind after a long day or dive into the nightlife, both Snitch and ADSC have you covered.

On the menu’s local side is Explosive Nasi Goreng (featuring a turmeric, sambal squid and Sabah tiger prawn mix, kampung-style chili sambal fried rice, fried egg, papadom, tamarind tomato salsa and cucumber) served in a banana leaf-lined basket.

Also among the diverse local dishes are Nasi Lemak Kampung, Chinese Braised Rice, Kung Fu Egg Gravy Seafood Rice Noodle, Ipoh Hor Fun Soup and Wantan and char kuey teow.

Those craving a Western-infused brunch can try Bonnie Parker with eggs royale, beetroot salmon gravlax, guacamole, cherry tomato salsa, spinach, poached eggs, honey and citrus hollandaise, and crisp baby prawns.

Other personalised brunch variants include salmon-dish Mary Read, Duck Me Up, Breakie Board, Frank Costello and Clyde Barrow.

Additional menu options include salads, rice bowls, pasta, burgers, pizzas and an array of snacks.

When it comes to drinks, there is an impressive line-up of non-alcoholic favourites as well as Snitch drink specialties.

Milk shake specialities include the tasty Virgin Tiramisu – an infusion of espresso, milk, vanilla cream and ChocCurls – and Ong Lai Tart comprising homemade pineapple puree, almond crumble, vanilla ice cream and milk.

Oreo Milkshake, Aussie Blended Ice Coffee, Crunchy Lotus Biscoff are some of the cutesy names attached to the non-alcoholic selections.

Alcoholic drinks span from speciality cocktails like El Toro (rum, vodka, gin, white wine, lychee, sweet and sour mix), Berry Bang and Sponge Bob to classics like Mojito, Negroni, Long Island, Whiskey Sour and White Lady.

The Mojito Classic infused with Yuzu Sake Sparkling and lychee or apple is another recommendation, while shots, highballs, liquors, spirits and wines complete the bar’s comprehensive drink menu.

ADSC is the place to go for live sports watching, beer pong, weekly DJ sets and specially curated musical experience that changes during the weekends.

DJ sounds and occasional themed parties keep the energy high, with music and vibes featuring DJs led by Leonard Sinclair aka Sharky along with regulars such as Smiles, Jokerz, Cynfanic over Thursdays and Fridays.

DJ FND and DJK also now appear here on occasional Saturdays.

It is easy to see how ADSC is becoming a favoured destination in the Mid Valley/ The Gardens area to revel in good company, enjoy the night and soak in the after-dark scene.
