A brewer’s gastronomic campaign returns this year with more fiery delicacies to complement the smoothness of its beverage.
Carlsberg Smooth Draught’s “Real Spicy, Real Smooth” campaign celebrates local spicy food once again with a more inclusive and extensive activation at JioSpace, Petaling Jaya, until Sept 2.
Homegrown maestro Monster Chef founder KC Choong will offer delectable choices such as Devil’s Curry Pocket Buns, Nasi Lemak Bomb, Mala Sui Yoke and “Stinky” Popiah.
Churn’s Beer-Gato, an artisanal affogato in smooth beer, alongside Bean Jr’s three-level explosive Mala Tau Fu Fa, will also be present.
Carlsberg Malaysia managing director Stefano Clini said, “The Real Spicy, Real Smooth campaign is about making flavourful food and smooth beer accessible to all.”
A cocktail workshop with Jason Julian, the mastermind behind the top-notch flavours of Soma’s Bar’s concoctions, adds flair to the event as guests can try their hand at creating their own concoctions at the weekend event.
Fans can craft their own cocktails at a workshop over the weekend.
The party picks up pace when the clock strikes happy hour. There is a “Tap Your Own Beer” bar, a sip-and-snap photo booth for Insta-worthy photos as well as fun augmented reality games offering exclusive prizes.
The evening will also see DJs taking over the decks with scheduled performances by Singapore’s Inquisitive as well as local mavens Ramsey Westwood and DJ Kenji.
There are also cool collaborations with APOM, the quirky label that produces T-shirts and trinkets, along with Gumme, the makers of customised phone charms.
Guests can buy not just the merchandise but also join speciality workshops by Gumme on Saturday on customising bags.
Crafted for beer and spice lovers, this campaign opens daily from 5pm to 11pm on weekdays and 11am to 11pm on weekends and public holidays.
Pet parents can also bring their furkids to a pet-friendly party on the weekend, from 11am to 2pm.
In addition, fans can pick up an exclusive Spicy Discovery kit anytime they purchase two six-can packs of Carlsberg Smooth Draught from supermarkets, 99 Speedmart and official ecommerce sites or when they enjoy six big bottles at coffeeshops and food courts.
Event is open only to non-Muslims aged 21 and above.
