IN CONJUNCTION with Malaysia’s 66th National Day, Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd carried out a corporate social responsibility programme by presenting contributions to three welfare homes in Selangor.
Air Selangor donated essential items including food, clothing, furniture, electrical appliances such as washing machines as well as school supplies to children and senior citizens from House of Love (Pertubuhan Rumah Anak Yatim Berkat Kasih) in Klang, Persatuan Rumah Kanak-Kanak Ini Disayangi in Subang Jaya and Rumah Amal Limpahan Kasih in Puchong.
Volunteers, who comprised Air Selangor employees also known as Hydro Heroes, organised community activities such as cleaning and adorning the welfare homes with Malaysian flags.
The Sesama Mara CSR programme comprises grassroots initiatives aimed at giving back to the community as well as strengthening relationships with stakeholders such as residents associations, local authorities and non-governmental organisations.
In a press statement, Air Selangor expressed hope that the contributions would bring joy and make National Day celebrations at the welfare homes more vibrant.
The water operator also welcomes public donations to Box of Hope, one of the initiatives under Sesama Mara, whereby essential food items are donated to help B40 communities in Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya.
