New ferry route for Indonesia


THE Kukup International Ferry Terminal (TFAK) near Pontian, Johor, has started a new route to the Selat Panjang Ferry Terminal in Riau, Indonesia.

Johor Public Transport Corporation chief executive officer Abdul Malik Ismail said the service encompassed a trip from Riau at 9.30am West Indonesia time and return from TFAK at 3pm Malaysian time.

“The return trip tickets are priced at RM350 for adults and RM200 for children, whereas one-way trips for adults are RM200 and RM150 for children.

“The ferry has a 238-passenger capacity and the journey is three hours long,” he said in a statement. — Bernama
