THE opening of Mustafa Jewellery in Melaka will be a boost for Visit Melaka 2024.

In affirming this, Melaka Chief Minister Datuk Seri Ab Rauf Yusoh said the shop at Dataran Pahlawan Megamall was a shot in the arm for the state as the outlet was the largest jewellery shop in the country.

He said Mustafa Jewellery had established its brand in Tamil Nadu, India; Dhaka, Bangladesh; and Singapore’s Little India.

Now the brand has landed in Malaysia.

“Melaka was chosen as the preferred destination to set up the flagship outlet, and the state is proud of the decision by Mustafa Jewellery,” he said at the launch recently.

Also present at the event was MK Mustafa Centre managing director Mustaq Ahmad.

Ab Rauf said the investment value on the opening of the outlet was estimated at RM250mil.

He said the shop would also offer a series of lucky draws for customers including four prizes of four cars, and this would be an additional attraction for Melaka next year.

Ab Rauf said the state government would look at working closely with Mustafa Jewellery to promote Visit Melaka 2024.

During the launch, models paraded the available jewellery collection.
