RESIDENTS in Kampung Setia Jaya, Setapak, Kuala Lumpur can look forward to main roads in the village being resurfaced, benefitting 589 households.
Its residents association (RA) chairman Mohd Asli Sapuan said whenever it rained, potholes would not be visible, making it dangerous for motorcyclists.
“We thank Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) for the upgrading project.”
Mohd Asli added that there were still some facilities lacking such as a hall.
“Sometimes, we use the badminton court in the village for community activities.”
Kuala Lumpur Advisory Board member Andre Lai said four roads, Jalan Jaya 1, 2, 3 and 4 would be resurfaced.
“Following my appointment as board member two months ago, I have highlighted the matter to DBKL.
“Kuala Lumpur mayor Datuk Kamarulzaman Mat Salleh said DBKL will start to do the road premix soon.
“I have also asked City Hall to look into the drainage system in the area.”
