AN initiative to promote reading among the Orang Asli community brought more than 500 people together.

The Jom Baca reading programme was held in Kampung Chadak, Ulu Kinta, Perak, through the efforts of National Unity Ministry (KPN) and the National Library of Malaysia (PNM).

The programme called ‘A Reading Community is a Smart Community’ was launched by KPN senior divisional secretary (management) Norihan Mohamed Naim.
