Promoting accessible education through partnership

ZCHWANTECH Sdn Bhd and Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) have joined forces in a significant initiative aimed at enhancing the accessibility of education.

Through two pivotal agreements, these institutions are dedicated to expanding higher education opportunities to deserving students, irrespective of their financial circumstances.

In accordance with the first agreement, Zchwantech will provide scholarships to students pursuing in Computer Science, Information Systems Engineering, and Art and Design programmes.

The selection of scholarship recipients will be at the discretion of Zchwantech.

Taking an extraordinary step forward, Zchwantech has made a generous donation of RM100,000 to UTAR, thereby establishing the distinguished "UTAR-Zchwantech Scholarship for Top Achiever".

This scholarship has been designed to cover 100% of the tuition fees for two exceptional students focusing on Business Administration and Finance degrees.

The official signing ceremony took place on June 8 at UTAR's Sungai Long Campus, where UTAR president Prof Datuk Dr Ewe Hong Tat and Zchwantech director Alex Chan who pre-signed the agreements.

The event was witnessed by UTAR vice-president Prof Dr Choong Chee Keong and Zchwantech's chief technology officer Chay Weei Jye.

Prof Ewe conveyed his heartfelt gratitude to Zchwantech for their unwavering commitment to supporting UTAR students through scholarships.

He emphasised the significance of Zchwantech's dedication to social responsibility and the transformative potential of education.

UTAR has a longstanding tradition of offering scholarships and loans to underprivileged students, and Zchwantech's contribution will help sustain this noble tradition.
