Captivating activities planned for Mid-Autumn celebration

The decorations are already up for the two-day festival at Bayu Sutera in Bandar Seri Sendayan.

PROPERTY developer Matrix Concepts Holdings Bhd (MCHB) is organising a two-day traditional Mid-Autumn celebration this weekend at Bayu Sutera in Bandar Sri Sendayan.

Visitors to the “Hoppin’ Autumn Night – Mid-Autumn 2023” festival which takes place on Sept 30 and Oct 1 can enjoy mooncakes and take part in several activities lined up to mark the festival also known as Mooncake or Lantern Festival.

MCHB chief marketing officer Lim Kok Yee said the event would kick off with a decorative Lantern Lights parade and traditional Mid-Autumn dance performances.

He said Bayu Sutera in Bandar Sri Sendayan, known for its picturesque homes built amid lush landscapes, would be adorned with bright lanterns.

“An array of activities including feather garland lantern crafting and flower fan exhibition will be held for the community.”

More fun will be provided by hands-on craft workshops showing visitors how to make sand candles, flower fans, mini cartoon mooncakes and other items.

Games booths and a fortune- telling booth will also occupy visitors while a Chinese orchestra featuring the guzheng (zither) instrument will perform.

Food trucks serving drinks and tasty festive snacks will be set up.

The celebration will be held from 6pm to 10pm on both days.

Lee said that in addition to enjoying the festivities, the visitors are encouraged to explore property showcases in Bandar Sri Sendayan, particularly at Izara Bayu Sutera, Elana Irama Sendayan 2 and Elara Tiara Sendayan, for a glimpse into a new home environment.
