Technicolour Multicultural Festival 2023 is set to take place at UOW Malaysia KDU Penang University College, Batu Kawan campus, on Oct 7 from 10.30am to 9pm.
Penang tourism and creative economy committee chairman Wong Hon Wai will grace the occasion as the guest of honour together with Penang Welfare Department director Zakaria Taib.
Visitors can look forward to live performances of traditional dances and music, delectable dishes from more than 50 food trucks and stalls representing various cultures, and cultural exhibits showcasing the traditions, art and history of different communities.
There will also be an arts and crafts bazaar with handmade crafts and artwork for sale, as well as interactive workshops on a variety of fun arts including napkin-folding, mocktail-making and batik painting.
Little ones are not forgotten, with a dedicated children’s zone featuring games, activities, and entertainment, while a special area will be set aside for pet lovers to connect with each other and share their experiences.
Proceeds of this festival will be donated to the underprivileged in Penang.
